I was a bit late to the coast - the Christmas tree doesn’t decorate itself you know ! I drove quickly towards North Berwick with the setting sun picking out the whale bones on top of the Law, wishing I was already on its Eastern side, watching the sun behind the Union trees. At sunset and sunrise you get a real sense of the speed of the Earth’s rotation.
Anyway, I missed it. But parking on the front, the Bass and the waves were beautiful - aren’t they always ? Some fishermen were readying their kit, and I followed them out to the shore line - they were better equipped for the cold and wet than I was but don’t you know, I’m there for art dahlings :-)
The Blue Hour was starting and I had the tripod with me, so didn’t fear the 1 second exposure times I was needing. The roosting Oystercatchers were a bit irritatated at my presence though, but the Turnstones and Sanderlings and Redshanks didn’t mind much. The sounds of the dusk time sea side are wonderful!
